Enrolments

Enrolment of students in a public school is a two step process.

  • Step 1 is to lodge an Application for Enrolment Form (Part A) with the school which can be downloaded here.
  • Step 2. If your child is offered a place at the school, you will be required to complete and lodge an Enrolment Form (Part B) which can be obtained from the School Office.

Part A of the enrolment forms can be downloaded from our website (link above), please return with supporting documentation (detailed below).

Please do not hesitate to contact us on 6206 2200 if you have any questions.

Entry ages may vary and parents are asked to check with the school. When enrolling, the child's birth certificate is required as proof of date of birth. Enrolment is not complete until this has been sighted. Immunisation records (full printed document from Medicare) also needs to be presented at the time of enrolment. Information on how to download a copy of your child's immunisation record can be found by following this link : Immunisation Record

Additional Information

Western Australia has a long and proud tradition of public schools providing high quality education in every community. We open our doors to all children – whatever their ability, wherever they live and whatever their background.

To accommodate all children in our schools, schools must prioritise enrolments. Principals assess applications for enrolment for the following year after the enrolment closing date (the first Friday of Term 3 each year).

Most schools have boundaries which set what is called a local-intake area.

Schools are not in a position to deviate from these legislative requirements, by which all public schools must abide.

Kindergarten

If the number of children applying to enrol at a Kindergarten with a local-intake area exceeds the number of available places, enrolments are prioritised in this order:

  1. A child who lives in the local-intake area of the school, who has a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the school.
  2. A child who lives in the local-intake area of the school, who does not have a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the school.
  3. A child who does not live in the local-intake area of the school, who has a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the school.
  4. A child who does not live in the local-intake area of the school, who does not have a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the school.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places at a Kindergarten or the Kindergarten’s local school is not a local-intake school, priority for enrolment is given to children who live closest to the school.

Transfers

Parents are requested to notify the school office as early as possible if a child is leaving the school.
